The Great Revolt began in 1789 and ended in the late 1790s. It led to the uprooting of longstanding French institutions and ways of life such as the absolute monarch. This was largely due to the dissatisfaction many of these people felt from the abuse of power leaders had. This played a critical role in how other countries viewed the use of power. It also exemplifies the power the people can have.
